We have an opening at Richmond Library to join us as a relief Library Assistant.

Are you customer focussed with a passion for working with people and books? Do you have an interest in library services and their communities and are you tech savvy?  As a Relief Library Assistant providing cover for the absence of library assistants you will support the delivery of library and information services working alongside and supporting volunteers to ensure a high-quality service, support the delivery of activities and events, assist customers to access online information and resources and encourage use by a wide range of customers.

You will be passionate about reading, have excellent communication skills, the ability to work with a range of partners including volunteers, the ability to deliver a customer focussed service, and have literacy and numeracy equivalent to Level 2.

Based at Richmond the library is open 34 hours per week, Monday – Saturday, including late evenings, availability to work across all opening hours is essential. There may be an occasional requirement to travel elsewhere within the area for which expenses will be payable.
