Changes to Library Services and Revised Opening Times

  • Posted On: 7 April 2021

In line with the latest government guidance, our libraries will be reopening for public browsing, among other services, as of Monday 12th April.

We’re pleased to say that each of our three libraries will be open once again for a broader range of services, including limited browsing, PC use, Select & Collect (for those that prefer) printing and returns. We are still able to provide the Home Library service and have a great range of free digital resources accessible with your library card.

We are also excited to share that Colburn Library is reopening as of Monday 12th, after closing in November 2020 for refurbishment. We now have a new junior library, a new PC area, a study area and comfy sitting, and the relocated Richmondshire District Council Community Offices!

We’re looking forward to welcoming the community back into our libraries to browse our shelves - we ask that you maintain social distancing throughout your visit to our libraries and follow the clearly marked one-way system that guides you through the library. Please see our opening hours, as of Monday 12th April, below. Now that we are able to offer a broader range of services, Catterick Library is operating under extended opening hours.
